tibial-pin posted a comment mentioning a different Kyro 2 layout. It would be nice to receive a picture from both sides of the card to track the A2 pin and make sure the right solder pads are bridged so please send in a picture from the back of the card. TIA
tibial-pin has taken some more pictures and it seems like on his board R12 is the one to be bridged. We might know it soon. :)
O.K. DocEvil (nice teamwork, thanks ;) just let me know that we have a successfully modded R12 board so for everyone with R12 that's the one to bridge, the article will be updated shortly!

Posted by: Evert on March 14, 2003 11:23 PMHi Evert, please have a look @ the Kyro 2 AGP 4x MOD article under articles on the right site in the menu. It will explain what the mod is and what the benefits are. At the moment this is mainly suggested to those who have problems with their Kyro boards because they're limited to AGP 2x by bios and hardware.
The problem now was that there seem to be different layouted boards which means that the place to modify is differently named. On one board it's R168 which needs bridging on the other it is R12. No big deal though it was just interesting to find out. :)
